The 2009 World's Largest Weekend is building steam, and while I was in L. A. recently, "Uncle" George Daniels of George's Music Room told me to put him on the list for the "Opening Night Gala" at Mr. G's.  Those who attended last year know that George not only attended, but brought food for our lovely door volunteers, Alice, LaTanya Pumphrey and Sharon Bolden.

Moreover, George said, "Terrance, I don't just want to come this year, put me on the list as a guest MC."  How could we tell a Legend like George no?  George and I chopped it in the VIP room at the Def Jam party for the rest of the night, and after giving me a taste of his 1, 2 step, he broke out into a very lively "Stanky Legg" display.  By the way, check George Daniels out on TV One's special series "UnSung" where he discusses his interaction with the great Minnie Riperton.
