Love Notes: Shaun Lee

Next up on “Love Notes” we chat with Chicago’s sexy diva Shaun Lee.  For those of you unfamiliar with the game it’s simple, ChiStepper plays a Steppers love song and we chop it up about how the song relates to real life love scenarios.  Check it out …

“Virgin Man” Smokey Robinson (1974)

Could you love a virgin man?

Yes I could.

Would you find it weird to meet a man in his 30’s who’d never had sex?

I would … very weird and very interesting as well … but weird, yes.

Would you show him the ropes?

Of course!  That would determine our relationship … if he’s willing to learn, things could take off on a good foot.

Where would you start?

(Laughing)  Wow! Where would I start?  Ohh wee T. Pratt.  I would start with his foreplay.  (Laughing)

“Whenever You’re Around” Jill Scott (2008)

Have any of your relationships gotten to the point where you dreaded seeing the guy come around?

Yes!

How long did it take for you to get a side piece to ease the pain?

(Laughing) Repeat that again! (Repeats Question)  Umm, I’d say about a couple of months.

Once a guy makes you feel like that is there any hope for the relationship?

No, there is no hope at that point in time.  Once those feelings are gone, it’s hard to get those feelings back.    You try to stay and work it out but it’s not going to work.  Once your feelings change it’s time to move on.

“Take It Slow” BooZoo (2005)

The song says … “… in your mind you say ready, but in your heart you say take it slow.”

Do you believe in making a guy wait to be intimate?

Oh wow! Umm Umm Umm.  Yes, I do.  I think that if it’s a guy that you’re interested in, that you want to be in a relationship with, I believe in taking it slow.  The more that you hang around a person and want that person makes it all better when you finally go that route.  Once you’ve waited, when you finally get to that point you’re ready to rip his clothes off.  It also speaks volumes if the guy is willing to wait.  That’s the most important thing … if that person is willing to take it slow with you … that speaks volumes about that person.  It lets you know that it’s the person you should have around.

How long?

(Laughing) There is no number.  I don’t go into a relationship saying you have to wait two or three months.  You know when the time is right.  Everybody is different.

Can a relationship be successful if you give it up too soon?

Hmmm.  That’s a good question.  I think it can.  That’s a good question.  (Changes mind) I would say, No!  (Changes mind again) No, No, I would say yes.  I would say yes, because what’s too soon.

Let’s say 2 weeks

I think a relationship can be successful it’s that what you all are headed towards … If there’s a meeting of the minds.  (Changes mind again) No scratch that … I don’t think so.  If you’re willing to be in a relationship with a person sex shouldn’t be the main thing.  If all you have on your mind is sex, sex, sex, the relationship can’t survive.  So I’d say, no … final answer.  (Laughing)

“Can’t B Good” Janet Jackson (2008)

Have you ever started falling for a guy when you knew you shouldn’t?

No. I try to stay away from those scenarios.

Can a woman find love when she’s looking for it?

You know what, and a lot of people may not agree with this, but personally I’d say no.  When you go out and look for things, you might not like what you find.  If you sit back and allow things to come to you, you will find that the outcome will be a little better.  Sometimes good things come to those who wait.

Have you ever woke up in the morning and regretted the night before?

As far as what?   Be more specific T. Pratt.  (Laughing)

Rolling over and waking up in bed with a guy in the morning (Laughing)

No I have not.
